Annual National Black Storytelling Festival and Conference

The 35th “In The Tradition. . .”¬†Annual National Black Storytelling Festival and Conference: “The African American Story: From Chains to Wings”.

Featured tellers include: Jeremie Meadows, youth teller; Kunama Mtendaji, a native of Missouri; TAHIRA, a full-time performing artist who boldly blurs the lines between storyteller, singer/songwriter and spoken word artist; Oba William King, storyteller and poet; Nothando Zulu,  master storyteller who has been sharing stories with audiences since 1976; Teju the Storyteller; and Andre Keitt Greatheart Griot.

The Festival is in Witchita KS. Prices vary, so check the website.
